Good news for mobile SIM customers

Since December 1, 2017, mobile phone users will no longer need to go to the mobile operators' store for base verification.

UIDAI has approved the model submitted by telecom operators in which the OTT option will be included for re-verification of the SIM card issued on the basis of basis.

Last month, the Department of Telecom had given permission to re-verify the mobile phone numbers through telecommunications OTP SMS, Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) and Mobile App of Telecommunication.

After that, operators were instructed to contact UIDAI with their template to operate the new procedures. Pandey said, "There are such steps where the customers can go to the mobile phone company's portal and give their mobile number and base number and then the OTP will come to the registered mobile number."

The second option is that every operator will promote an IVRS number and people will have to get key in their base and their mobile number at that number and OTP will come and enter them to re-verify.
